What is PAT Testing?

It stands for Portable Appliance Testing & in a nut shell, any appliance with a plug on it, no matter how large or small, requires a series of tests to establish it is safe to use. (even appliances such as washing machines and fridges that are not really "portable")

In addition to the series of tests performed by our Seaward equipment, we fully inspect each appliance for signs of damage or misuse and the environment it is located or used in.

Please understand the dangers of performing DIY on your electrical items, if you don't have the knowledge or even the correct tools, it has the potential to be fatal.

Engineers:

We have a team of qualified engineers with extensive experience within the PAT Testing industry. They attend regular courses and are in constant touch with new technology and requirements. As standard, our employees are DBS checked in accordance with our policies. They are a friendly team and will strive to offer advice, tips, solutions and recommendations, usually for the cost of a nice hot brew!

Testing Procedures:

All of our testing is carried out safely and to the highest standards. We are constantly looking for ways to maintain and improve our services so that all of our clients can be assured they receive the best possible service for very competitive rates.

We adhere to the latest compliance requirements which means if a service such as the microwave leakage test is no longer essential, we will neither perform or charge for this service unless it is requested.
